Product Designer

Sole product designer at Backflip, where I own design end-to-end across our native and web applications. I'm creating tools that help our members navigate their real estate investment journey with confidence and ease. We’re a Series A company backed by FirstMark Capital, building tools to empower real estate investors with smarter deal analysis and capital access.

 

  • Awarded “Backflip MVP” for exemplifying company value: “Test new things to invent and challenge the status quo”

  • Redesigned and simplified the loan application flow, decreasing loan application conversion time by 14%

  • Optimized the ad > loan application > loan close funnel for ad-captured users with rapid testing and reiteration, leading to: a 59.5% reduction in the time it takes users to submit an application after registering; a 21.5% increase in registration to submission conversion rate; and a 20% increase in the post-submission close rate within the first 3 days

  • Spearheaded the adoption of a customized shadcn/ui component library, streamlining collaboration between design and engineering teams and improving consistency across the app

  • Piloted the company's adoption of a new AI-powered user research platform to bring regular and synthesized product insights to the team

Realtor.com (Formerly Opcity, prior to acquisition)

Product Designer

As the first product design hire at Opcity, I worked closely with product and engineering leadership to shape the early mobile app experience for real estate professionals. I designed features across the full product lifecycle, helped transition the app to React Native, and introduced new design system practices as we moved from Sketch to Figma. After Opcity’s acquisition by Realtor.com, I continued refining the experience, helping unify and simplify the shared design system and uniting the experience between brands.

Notable Results:

  • Increased settings use by 60% which led to 80% of agents increasing their volume of leads

  • Increased the Agent/Client “Met” rate by 20%

  • Increased agent retention and initial success on the platform with enrollment overhaul

  • Increased daily user engagement by 50% which ultimately tripled the agent assignment rate

Deaf Bible Society

Product Designer

Partnered with Deaf Bible Society to redesign their mobile app and online platform, improving accessibility for the Deaf community and streamlining key user flows. Focused on creating a more intuitive, inclusive experience that better supported users’ needs. The release led to higher engagement and a surge of positive feedback in the App Store.

Lead designer for strategic accounts on the Client Services Advertising Creative team, overseeing the design of interactive online ad campaigns for a wide range of tech clients.
